Day 1: Transfer to Akagera and full-day game drive
As early as 6:00 am, a location of your choice in Kigali city or your Kigali international airport to transfer you Akagera national park safari. On reaching the park you will participate in a full day game drive in Akagera National Park which will give you access to a number of different attractions in the park like the big five animals like Lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and the buffaloes. You will also get to watch other animals like; elands, gazelles, Uganda kobs, elands, gazelles and many other herbivores as they catch their prey in the wild. After the safari experience, you will check into your hotel, have lunch and later in the evening participate in another game drive to watch more species and later embark on a night game drive which will give you access to a number of different animal species especially the carnivores like the leopards, lions, hyenas and many other carnivores catching their prey in the wild. After the safari experience, you will then make your way to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Karenge bush camp (budget) akagera game lodge(mid-range)
Day 2: Hot air balloon safari and departure
As early as 5:00am you will make your way to the starting point for your hot air balloon flight which will give you rewarding aerial views in the park as fly over the savannah plains and the different drainage features in the wild. Some of the different activities that you will get to watch the buffaloes, Uganda kobs, impalas as they graze within the plains and if you’re lucky enough, you will get the opportunity to watch a number of carnivores catching their prey as you enjoy the cool breeze. After the safari experience you will then make your way to enjoy the bush breakfast soaking in the beauty of wild for a memorable safari experience. after you will be rewarding safari experience. you will then make your way to Kigali city where you will embark on your Kigali city tour where you will get to visit the Kigali genocide memorial museum in Rwanda, the Kimironko market and many other rewarding attractions.
