Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Meet up with your guide and embark on your journey to Volcanoes National Park. On reaching, embark on the nature walk to connect with nature as you observe several attractions like the monkey species, for instance, the Hamlyn’s monkey, Mona monkey, golden monkeys, vervet monkey, black and white colobus monkeys, and many more.  Look out for some bird species as you hike along the different trails in the park along the Virunga mountains. After the safari, you will head to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full day birding and departure

After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, with your packed lunch, you will get to participate in birding in Volcanoes National Park, which involves going on guided tours through the bamboo forests, montane forests, and the alpine zones. You will get to watch about 50 Albertine endemic bird species. Other species that can be seen include the dusky Crimsonwing, Grauer’s swamp warbler, Red-faced woodland warbler, Rwenzori Turaco, Rwenzori Batis and many other bird species.
