Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Golden monkey trekking
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before being picked up by our guide at a location of your choice in Kigali city. On reaching the park, you will participate in golden monkey trekking, a safari experience that will give you access to the habituated golden monkey troops, which you will spend an hour observing to have a look at their rewarding attractions. Interesting about the activity is the fact that it’s a mobile activity that involves following the movement of the species, which will give you the chance to watch other attractions in the park, like the plants, mammals like the forest elephants, among others
Day 2: Mount Bisoke hike and departure
Hiking Mount Bisoke starts from the Kinigi headquarters, where you will have a briefing session from 7:00 am-7:30 am for the expectations of the hike. You will be assigned to a ranger and guide who will take you on the hiking experience to ensure you have a safe and rewarding safari. This 7-hour round trip features challenging steep slopes, dense bamboo forests home to the golden monkeys, and you will also come across the rare alpine flora. If you’re lucky enough, you might visit Dian Fossey’s grave. After the experience, make your way back to Kigali city for drop off at the airport or at a location of your choice in the city, which will mark the end of your safari experience.
