Day 1: Transfer to volcanoes and monkey trekking
Your guide will pick you up from a location of your choice in Kigali city and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. On reaching, you will go through the briefing session for your primate trekking in Volcanoes National Park. This will give you access to the different primate species like the Mona monkey, Hamlyn’s monkey, vervet monkey, Dent’s monkey, olive baboon, and many other primate species. After the safari experience, you will head to your hotel for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay. Alternatively, you can participate in the community tour of the iby’iwacu cultural village and get to observe the culture of the people of Rwanda through dance and their food.
Day 2: Golden monkey trekking
Wake up early, have breakfast, and make your way to the park headquarters, participate in the briefing session for your golden monkey trekking experience in Rwanda. You will hike the Virunga mountains in Rwanda, get the chance to spend time with the golden monkeys, ask as many questions, take pictures, and later make your way back to Kigali city, where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice, and this will mark the end of your 2 Days Volcanoes National Park Safari.
