Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe and zipline experience
In the morning, you will be picked up by the driver from your hotel in Kigali and driven southwards to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the national museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace in Nyanza, with lunch en route. After lunch, you will make your way to the park, arriving in time to participate in the zip line experience. The safari experience will give you an out-of-this-world experience as you take flight through the lush green rainforests, observing a number of different attractions like the primates, bird species, and also get to enjoy the exceptional views while you soar through the park.
Day 2: chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, you will be picked up by your guide who will transfer you to Nyungwe National Park, where you will get to participate in chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk. Chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda is quite a rewarding activity, which will give you the chance to understand more about the primate species and will give you an amazing time in the park. The activity involves hiking through the forest of the park in order to access the habituated chimpanzee troops. During the activity, you will have the chance to observe how they carry out their daily activities, their grooming patterns, how they care for their infants, and how they construct their nests for overnight stay. After the rewarding experience, you will have your lunch and relaxation. After your lunch, you will participate in the canopy walk, which will give you the chance to see a number of rewarding and breathtaking views of the park from an ariel view. You will get to see numerous bird species, a number of primates swinging from one tree branch to another, among other rewarding attractions and views. After the experience, you will head back to your hotel or dinner and overnight stay, as on the night before.
Day 3: isumo waterfalls hike and departure
After an early morning breakfast, head to the park to embark on the Isumo Trail in The phenomenal hike will lead you to beautiful and dramatic views of the stunning Isumo waterfalls. On reaching the falls, you will be in awe of the beauty and the splendor with eye-catching views perfect for photography, and watch a number of bird species that include Rwenzori Turaco, as well as primates like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and blue monkeys, among other attractions. After the rewarding experience, make your way to Kigali City, having lunch en route, and later you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali City or at the airport for your scheduled flight back home, and the end of your 3 days adventure experience in Nyungwe National Park.
