Day 1: Transfer to volcanoes and golden monkey trekking
As early as 5:00 am, you will be picked up by your guide to transfer you to volcanoes national park where you will get to participate in the golden monkey trekking which will lead you to a number of different attractions in the wild from the habituated golden monkey troops that you will get to observe how they go about their daily activities in the wild. The golden monkeys van be accessed when you hike the Virunga mountains in Rwanda, which will lead you to the habituated gorilla families watching how they co-exist with one another, the environment,t and many other rewarding features. After the safari experience, you will embark on your journey back to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at your hotel in Kigali.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Rwanda
As early at 6am, you will be expected to be up for breakfast and ready to set off for the trek. Our guide will meet you after having your breakfast and your lunches packed and he will take you to Kinigi Headquarters where you are expected to be given a brief before starting the gorilla trek. This brief is done at 7am. You are given guidelines during this brief before you are allowed to start the trek. This gorilla trek can take to about 2 hours to half a day as its unpredictable. When you finally find the gorillas, you will have to maintain a 7 meters’ distance and you are allowed one hour to admire and take photos of the gorillas. After the trek, you will go back to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali city
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will transfer to Lake Ruhondo. The drive to lake Ruhondo is quite scenic with a number of different attractions like the rolling hills of Rwanda, you will watch the beautiful homesteads of the people of Rwanda and many others. When you get to lake Ruhondo, you will choose to participate in a number of activities like a walk along the shores or you will choose to participate in the boat cruise which will give you the opportunity to enjoy the cool breeze, you will watch a number of bird species for a memorable safari experience. After the safari experience, After the hike, you will have lunch and transfer to Kigali city where time allowing, you will visit the genocide museum and later transfer to the airport for your onward flight or dropped at your hotel in Kigali.
