Details of your safari
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK In the morning, after an early morning breakfast, drive southwards to Nyungwe forest National park. You will have a stopover in Butare, where you will visit the national museum of Rwanda, the king’s palace in Nyanza with lunch en-route. After lunch, head to your hotel for check in and relaxation. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura guest house (budget accommodation) Nyungwe hill top view (mid-range accommodation)
DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND TRANSFER TO KIGALI CITY
Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. On finding them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos. You will then return to your hotel to freshen up, have lunch then check out and embark on a 5 hours’ drive back to Kigali city watching a number of beautiful scenes along the way for an amazing safari experience. DAY 3: GORILLA TREKKING SAFARI IN RWANDA
As early as 4am in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the RDB officials, with your packed lunch from your hotel set off for the gorilla trekking. This experience of gorilla trekking is a once in a life time adventure. The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search of the Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures whose company you will cherish for 1 hour. The activity in Rwanda can take 3-7 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Which you will observe as they carry out their different activities, you will also have an amazing experience watching the different wildlife species as you take their pictures. After rewarding experience, embark on trip to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali city and the end of your Rwanda wildlife safari.
