Detailed Itinerary for 3 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pickup and Drive to Materuni Village, waterfalls hike and Coffee Tour.
On the 1st day of your 3 Days Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Safari, Depending on your time of arrival, your driver guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport and you will drive to Materuni village, a hidden gem nestled at the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Attend a short briefing from the local guide and then embark on a 40-50 minutes hike to the bottom of the spectacular Materuni waterfalls. These waterfalls plunge at 90 meters high and offer spectacular scenery for pictures.
Your visit to the waterfalls also involves a guided tour of the nearby Materuni village where you will have a chance to interact with the local people and learn about their exceptional way of life and culture. You will also visit the local homesteads where you can take part in the preparation of a typical Chagga traditional meal and even have lunch from the same place.
After lunch, you will enjoy a coffee tour. Enjoy a coffee-filled desert with the organic beverage made in your presence with beautiful songs and dances from the local community members. Later drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay at Tulia hotel and Spa
Day 2: Drive to Tarangire National Park and Game Drive safari (about 3 hours’ drive)
On the 2nd day of your 3 Days Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Safari, After having breakfast at your hotel, you will meet up with your guide and drive to Tarangire National Park where you will enjoy a full day game drive in the park. Look out for a variety of animals such as elephants, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, cheetah, common eland, hartebeest, wildebeests, gazelles and so many more. Have lunch and enjoy another evening game drive in the park as you watch wildlife roaming within the savannah plains of the park. Drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Karatu Simba Lodge.
Day 3: Visit Olpopongi Maasai Village and Transfer to Moshi
Have breakfast at leisure and check out of your lodge. You will then drive to Olpopongi Maasai Village for a community cultural tour. Take a guided tour of the local Maasai homesteads and also be entertained to local folk dance and singing performances from the local dance troupe. You will also visit the local craft shops in the community where you can purchase authentic locally made Maasai crafts as souvenirs to take home. Have lunch and drive back to your hotel (Panama Garden Resort ) in Moshi. End of Tour!
