Detailed Safari Itinerary

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

On day one of your 3 days chimpanzee habituation in Uganda, you will be picked by your guide who will pick you from a location of your choice in Kampala city or Entebbe international airport. On the encounter, the guide will give you a briefing session o your safari, the rule and regulations to follow the activities to participate among other. At the end of the session, you will make your way to transfer to Kibale national park the primate hub in Uganda where you will get to see a number of primate species. On  your way  to the park, you will have a stopover at  Mbarara town where you will have lunch at the Imigongo cultural centre, at the centre, you will have an amazing time enjoying the local cuisine of the Ankole people, you will also get the chance t visit the Ankole museum where you will get the chance to understand more about their culture, their different kinds of dressing, the traditional attire, the evolution of their culture among other interesting feature that can be seen when you visit the cultural centre. After the amazing tour around the Imigongo cultural centre, you will continue with your journey and on reaching the park you will transfer to your hotel where you will have dinner and overnight stay. Alternatively on reaching the park you can participate in the guided nature walks where you will have an amazing time enjoying the memorable views of the park, different primate species like the baboons, chimpanzees, a number of monkey species and many other rewarding attractions.  

DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE HABITUATION

On day two of your 3 days Chimpanzee habituation in Uganda after an early morning breakfast at your hotel with your packed lunch, you will be picked by your guide for the hotel who will transfer you to Kibale national park for you to take part in the chimpanzee habituation in Uganda. On reaching the park headquarters, you will participate in a briefing session of chimpanzee habituation in the park, the rules and regulations to follow during the memorable activity. After the briefing session, you will transfer to the forest with a team of researchers who will lead you to the different chimpanzee troops that are under the process of habituation in the park. The activity differs from chimpanzee trekking which allows tourist to visit the habituated troops that are already accustomed to human presence, chimpanzee habituation in Kibale national park involves, training the primates to get used to human presence in order to get them ready for chimpanzee trekking. For chimpanzee trekking to be carried out the chimpanzee troops should be trained and this an amazing activity that will give you the chance to understand how the chimpanzees react during the training sessions among other rewarding features of the primates. During your rewarding activity, you will get to see a number of  attractions  like the different bird species like the African pitta, Abyssinian ground thrush, Crowned eagle, Dusky crimson wing, Black-capped Apalis, Collared Apalis, Purple-breasted sunbird among other attractions.  After the rewarding experience in the park, you will transfer back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay. 

DAY 3: CULTURAL TOUR AND DEPARTURE

On day three of your 3 day chimpanzee habituation in Uganda, after an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked by your guide who will transfer you to Kampala city through Mbarara town where you will have lunch at the Imigongo cultural centre where you will have an amazing time enjoying the local cuisine of the Ankole people, you will also get the chance to visit the Ankole museum where you will get the chance to understand more about their culture, their different kinds of dressing, the traditional attire, the evolution o their culture among other interesting feature that can be seen when you visit the cultural centre. After the rewarding experience, you will transfer to Kampala city where you where you will take part in the Kampala city tour which will give you the chance to visit a number of sites in the city like Nakasero market one of the oldest and largest markets in Uganda where you can purchase a number of organic fruits, traditional attires among other products. You will also get to visit namirembe cathedral the oldest cathedral in Uganda, Uganda mosque/ gadaffi mosque among other rewarding sites. After the rewarding tour, you will have lunch and after you will be dropped at a location of your choice in Kampala city or Entebbe international airport and the end of your 3 days chimpanzee habituation in Uganda.
