Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali city to transfer to the volcanoes national park, where you will arrive in time to participate in Ibyi’wacu cultural village tour. Have a guided walk around the village at the different sites that exhibit the different aspects of the people of at the village to have insight about the interesting features of the culture of the people of Rwanda. You can also get the chance to visit the Musanze caves which have a rich cultural attributes which will give you the opportunity to understand more about the history of the people of Rwanda, the caves were used as coronation grounds for the Kings of Rwanda. Day 2: Golden monkey trekking in Rwanda
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your hotel. our guide will meet you after having your breakfast and your lunches packed and he will take you to Kinigi Headquarters where you are expected to be given a brief before starting the gorilla trek. This brief is done at 7am. You are given guidelines during this brief before you are allowed to start the trek. To be quite different from the gorillas in the wild, the mountain gorillas. the golden monkeys are found in the higher elevations which in the bamboo trees hence the hike to their habituated golden monkeys which will help you cover more area. When you get to the habituated troops, you will take their pictures and later transfer back to your starting point where you will be presented your trekking permit and later connect to your guide to transfer you back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Nature walks and transfer back to Kigali city
After an early morning breakfast, you will then make your way to the park to participate in a half day nature walk which will help you discover a number of different attractions from the different bird species like the blue turaco, Ross’s turaco, coqui Francolin, long tailed cisticola, bubbling cisticola, Miombo wren warbler, Chubb’s cisticola and many other bird species. You will also get to watch primate species and if you’re lucky enough, you will get the chance to watch the primates like the mona monkey, vervet monkey, Hamlyn’s monkey, Dent’s monkey and many other rewarding attractions. After the safari experience, you will make your way to transfer back to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in the city and the end of your 3 days Volcanoes National park safari
