This 4 days Akagera and Nyungwe national park safari will give you the chance to explore a number rewarding attractions during your Rwanda safari as you participate in the different tourism activities in the different national parks in Rwanda. some of the activities that you will get to engage in include; the boat cruise on lake Ihema which will help you watch a number of different attractions from the water birds like the endangered shoe bill stork, the African king fishers catching prey from the lake, you will get the opportunity to participate in the game drive which will give you the chance to track the big five animals in Rwanda like the lions of Akagera national park, the leopards, the elephants and the rhinos that can be seen grazing within the park’s plains. In Nyungwe national park, you will get to participate in chimpanzee trekking in Rwanda to understand the behaviour of the playful primates in the wild, the Isumo waterfalls hike which will help you observe the Isumo waterfalls in Rwanda as you embark on the hiking trails in Nyungwe national park, you will also participate in the canopy walk in Rwanda which will give you a number of rewarding views of the park from an aerial view, you will get to see a number of primates in the wild like the chimpanzees swinging along the metallic walkway and many other rewarding attractions for an amazing Rwanda safari.
DAY 1: TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK AND IHEMA BOAT CRUISE.
You will be met by your driver guide at your agreed location in Kigali to transfer to Akagera national park where you will arrive in time to embark in an early morning game drives that will give you the chance to watch a number of game animals especially the herbivores like the elephants grazing within the plains, the rhinos, you will also get to see a number of remarkable views for the park and a number of rewarding attractions after your game drive you will transferred to the lodge for lunch and refreshments and later on participate in the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will see game like hippopotamuses, Crocodiles and many bird species that live around the lake and the surrounding swamps. After the end of your boat cruise, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: EARLY MORNING GAME DRIVE AND TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE NATIONAL PARK.
Rise up early and go for a game drive with great anticipation of seeing the different animals which rise early to graze and predators looking for their early morning kill. After the game drive, return to connect with your driver guide to embark on your transfer back to Nyungwe National Park. on your way to the park you will have a stopover at the king’s palace in Nyanza for a brief tour to understand more about the culture of the people of Rwanda. after the tour proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND CANOPY WALK
On the 3rd day of your 4 days Akagera and Nyungwe national park safari, Enjoy breakfast and go for briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. On finding them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos. You will then return to your accommodation for lunch. After lunch, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk-a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Before night fall, you will return to the lodge for dinner as above
DAY 4: ISUMO WATERFALLS HIKE AND DEPARTURE
After having breakfast, you will embark on the Isumo waterfalls hike with in the park which will enable you to explore the Park’s unique tourist features the Isumo waterfalls and orchids in the high altitude swamps, the falls are the perfect spot for photography and relaxation as you reach the climax of your 4 days’ safari. After the hike you will embark on your journey back to Kigali city or you will connect to the airport for your return flight to your next destination and the end of your safari.
