Detailed itinerary
Day one: Transfer to lake Mburo National park
At a location of your choice in Kigali city, you will be picked by your guide who will give you a briefing session about your 8 days Uganda Safari. You will participate in the Kigali City tour (if there’s enough time) which will lead you to a number of memorable sites like the Kigali genocide memorial museum, Kimironko market after the city tour, and transfer you to Lake Mburo National park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Eagle’s nest hotel (budget) Acadia cottages (mid-range)
Day two: Morning game drive and transfer to kibale national park
Rise up early in the morning have breakfast and on this day you will take part in the morning game drive that will give you the chance to watch a number of animals in the park like the different animals which rise early to graze; like the elephants, gazelles, bush bucks, topis, carnivores like the lions, leopards looking for their prey, hyenas, leopards catching their prey in the wild for a rewarding safari experience after the rewarding encounter you will transfer to Kibale National park. Day three: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to queen Elizabeth
After an early breakfast you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu Visitors Centre for chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing you will start trekking in the forest which takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on their location. Once the chimpanzees have been located, you will spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their life style, behavior, watch them feed, enjoy the juveniles playing up in the trees, take photos and record videos with a flash less camera. After chimpanzee trekking you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park check in your hotel have refreshments and later on have dinner and overnight stay.

Day four: Lion tracking and afternoon boat cruise
After an early breakfast on head to the park plains and participate in lion tracking which is a rewarding activity that will give you the chance to access a given lion pride with the use of radio collars which will give you the opportunity to easily locate them. On reaching the pride, you will get the chance to watch how they co-exist with one another, their social structure, , how they hunt their prey and many other rewarding experiences to make your safari experience quite memorable
After lunch you will go for an incredible boat cruise along Kazinga channel a water body that connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the boat trip which takes about 2 to 3 hours you will be able to view large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, view buffaloes, elephants, warthog’s drinking water along the banks, view water birds among others. You will also be able to see the fishermen along the shores preparing their fishing gears for night fishing. After the boat cruise you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day five: Transfer to Bwindi (rushaga sector)
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for at Rushaga gorilla haven(budget),Ichumbi lodge (mid-range) you can participate in the community tour as you await for dinner.
Day six Gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga
After an early breakfast, you will carry packed lunch from the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing you will start trekking in the jungle in search of the habituated gorilla family which takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located. During trekking you will be able to see others primates, animals, plants, bird species among others and once the gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviors, watch them carry out their daily activities like feeding, breastfeeding, playing, take photos and record the moments to show people back home.
After the exciting moment with the mountain gorillas you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide to Transfer to Mgahinga National Park. Day seven: Mount Gahinga hike
On the 7th day of your 8 days Uganda safari from Kigali, After an early morning breakfast at your hotel, connect directly to the park headquarters for a briefing about the Gahinga hike as early as 7am, you will then be allocated the ranger guides and you head for the hike. Gahinga volcano is the one of the 8 mount peaks of Virunga mountains in Africa. The hike to the summit offers spectacular and magnificent views of different volcanoes a number of bird species, numerous primates and other spectacular views. After the hike, you will head back to your hotel/ lodge.

Day eight: Golden money trekking and departure
After your breakfast, head to the park reception for Golden monkey trekking which will give you the chance to observe the behavior of the endangered Albertine endemic species as you enjoy watching how they co-exist in the wild. After the trek, you will have lunch and taken back to your hotel as the night before to relax and reminisce on the experience. After the experience, you will make your way back to Kigali city
