Birds in Arusha National Park : Arusha national park is small national park but it is ranked to be among the adventurous destinations in the country covering a total surface area of about 137 square kilometers located in the northeastern region of Tanzania in Arusha region.
Arusha national park is situated in a short distance of about 25 kilometers from the east of Arusha and around 35 kilometers from Kilimanjaro international airport and dominated with scenic views of spectacular landscapes, which consist of beautiful features such as; jekukumia river, meru crater funnels, Ngurdoto Crater, Momella lakes, which are within the northeast region of the park, and the peak of mount meru, which is found in the western region of the park.
arusha national park is home to a variety of wildlife species such as; cape buffalos, zebras, leopards, warthogs, giraffes, kirk’s dik dik, shy red duikers and primate species like; blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others which are best spotted while on a game drive Tanzania safari. also harboring large population of about 400 bird species, which include the following below;
