Gorilla Trekking Uganda Vs Rwanda: Gorilla trekking is a popular activity in Rwanda and Uganda. The main difference between these countries is the prevalence of gorillas. In Rwanda, gorillas are found in the Volcanoes National Park. In Uganda, gorillas are found in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Both countries have many of the same resources – for example, park rangers, guides, lodging, and food options – but there are subtle differences as well. Overall, I think visiting either country would be a great option!

In general, gorilla trekking is easier in Rwanda than it is in Uganda. There are several reasons for this. First, it is easier to find gorillas in Rwanda than in Uganda. The treks in Rwanda are shorter and the gorillas are more accessible. This makes it easier for people to reach them and give them a better view. Second, there are fewer people in Rwanda than in Uganda. This is important because it limits the number of people on the trails at one time and allows for a more peaceful experience. Third, the accommodations are better in Rwanda than they are in Uganda.

However, Gorilla trekking is much cheaper in Uganda than it is in Rwanda. The cost of the permit for the trek is $1500in Rwanda but only $600 in Uganda. On top of that, the price of hiring a guide in Rwanda is also significantly higher than in Uganda.
In Rwanda, there are about ten habituated gorilla families that can be visited by tourists. Some of them include: Mubare, Sabinyo, Habinyanja, Umubano, Amahoro, Rushegura, Nshongi, Kinigi, Susa, and Uwinka whereas Uganda has about 14 gorilla family groups which can be trekked. The mountain gorilla is a rare species that is worth preserving and protecting. Therefore, I think that it is important to encourage both governments to provide for the needs of these endangered animals, Gorilla Trekking Uganda Vs Rwanda.
* Accessibility β It is much easier to access the gorillas in Rwanda because there are fewer restrictions involved and the trails are significantly shorter. It is also easier to see wildlife in Rwanda than it is in Uganda. This is because the forest cover is higher and the amount of vegetation has decreased. As a result, the wildlife can be seen from a greater distance. Moreover, the environment is relatively peaceful and the number of tourists is less in Rwanda compared to Uganda. As such, it is easier to trek gorillas in Rwanda than it is in Uganda. * Accommodations βThe accommodations are also better in Rwanda than they are in Uganda. This is because there are more hotels to choose from and they are all of better quality. There are also more activities for tourists to engage in Rwanda compared to those in Uganda. These activities include a visit to the genocide memorial centre and a visit to a hot springs resort. From Kigali International Airport – there are several buses that go to Volcanoes National Park and depart every hour or so from the Bus station located just outside the airport. The best way to get to Bwindi is to fly into Entebbe Airport and then take a bus to the small town of Kisoro which is where the national park is located.
