Mount Bisoke Day Hike : Day 1 Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Mount Bisoke Hike and Departure . As early as 5:00am, your driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Volcanoes national park the home to five of the Virunga mountains in Rwanda that is mount muhabura, mount sabyinyo, mount gahinga, mount karisimbi and mount bisoke shared by Mgahinga national park and Virunga national park in Rwanda.
On getting to the park you will embark on the briefing session of the mount bisoke hike and after make your way that you will get to climb to the summit. As you hike the mountain, you will have the chance to watch a number of attractions in the park like the different Albertine endemic species like the different bird species for instance; the long-crested eagle handsome Francolin, Rwenzori Batis Dusky turtle love, paradise flycatcher, archer’s ground robin, African Rwenzori, double collared sunbird, marsh harrier, Ruwenzori turaco, common moorhen Ruwenzori night jar, grey throated tit, the dusky crimson wing, red-faced woodland warbler, primates like the vervet monkey, Mona monkey, silver monkey, red tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkey and on reaching the summit, you will discover a beautiful crater lake, soak in the beauty and after the hike, you will have lunch and transfer to Kigali city where you will be dropped off at a location of your choice or Kigali international airport and the end of your Rwanda tour.
Alternatively, you can also take part in the Kigali city tour where you can visit the Kigali genocide memorial museum to understand more about the 1994 Rwanda genocide that claimed a number of people’s lives, you can visit the kimironko market where you can purchase some souvenirs and also get to engage with the local traders.
