The Isumo Trails of Rwanda are a set of hiking trails that wind through the mountainous terrain of eastern Rwanda. Best time to visit Rwanda

The months of December to March are the best times to visit Rwanda as they are the driest months in Rwanda, so you are likely to experience fewer problems with rain and humidity. However, this does mean it can be cold and dark so make sure you pack some warm clothes and a sturdy pair of hiking boots. It is also during this period that you will see the greenery of the mountains appear and benefit from the most beautiful views, so it is well worth visiting during this time if you can.

The weather from April to September can be unpredictable as the rains come quite suddenly during the dry season, so it is well worth checking weather forecasts before you travel if you are planning on visiting during these months. Despite the rain it is still possible to visit the Isumo Trails but it is best to make sure you are prepared for any sudden showers and consider bringing waterproof clothing and rubber boots with you in case of emergency.
