Uganda Safari During The Dry Season : The dry season is the perfect time for travellers to participate in the different activities that it has to follow for a memorable safari experience without having any hindrance from the rain and slippery roads among many different interferences that might occur during the rainy season. In this article we shall help you discover the different activities to participate on the wild and the different months of the dry seasons that you can participate in for an amazing safari experience.

Uganda has two dry seasons that is from June to August and from December to February which are the perfect months for travellers interested in the wildlife safaris in Uganda.  during the dry seasons, the skies are quite clear with the average temperature being 27degrees which is quite hot making it the perfect time to participate ion the safari especially outdoor safaris so don’t forget to carry your sunscreen while you embark on the safaris.

There are a number of activities that you can participate in during the dry season in Uganda include;

Gorilla trekking in Uganda will lead you to the habituated gorilla families in Uganda that can be seen when you participate in either gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park or gorilla trekking in Mgahinga national park which will lead you to hike the Virunga mountains in Uganda that is Mount muhabura, mount sabyinyo and mount gahinga for a memorable safari experience. when you get to the gorilla family you will spend an hour with the species observing a number of rewarding features. You will get to watch the dominant silverback who has all the mating rights with the females in the group, you will watch the juveniles grooming one another and many other rewarding features of the primates in the wild.

The game drives

Participate in the game drives and get to track four of the big five animals in Uganda by either participating in the morning game drives or the evening game drives and in some instances you can also participate in the nocturnal game drives in Uganda which will help you explore the  wild at night as you get to watch a number of carnivores as they catch their prey in the wild, you will also get to watch a number of night birds like the night jars and many other rewarding attractions in the wild. You will watch the herbivores like the elands, gazelles, bushbucks and many other herbivores grazing within the plains. Birding

A birder interested birding in Uganda will have the most rewarding experience in Uganda as you watch the different bird species as you make your way to a number of different destinations that will lead you to a number of different bird species. You will get the opportunity to watch about 100 bird species during your birding experience so don t forget to carry your binoculars and your birding checklist and get to watch a number of bird species in the wild. Among the different bird species include; African Darter, African Wattled Lapwing, Blue-cheeked Bee-eater, Common Squacco Heron, Crowned Lap wing, Eastern Grey Plantain-eater, Great Egret along the river banks and a number of other attractions in the wild.

Chimpanzee trekking

Chimpanzee trekking in Uganda will lead you to a number of habituated chimpanzee troops that you will get to observe during your experience to understand more about the behavior of the species in the wild. You can participate in chimpanzee trekking in kibale national park, chimpanzee trekking in Budongo forest and chimpanzee trekking in Queen Elizabeth national park which will lead you to the species.
